Born in Brooklyn NY, born in the late 1890's Al Capone has become one of the most Profound Mafia bosses in all of history.
Early Life
Al Capone (or his full name Alphose Gaberial Capone) was born on January 17, 1899 in Brooklyn, New York into an immigrant family that came from Italy. Capone was the fourth of nine children and was a son to Gaberail and Teresina Capone.
Capone's early life was very interesting in deed.
When Capone was 14 he dropped out like all of his siblings to help the family earn some cash to survive. At the same time Capone joined two gangs that were in Brooklyn one called the South Brooklyn Rippers and the Five Points Junior. When Capone was 18 years of age he left the East and came to good old Chicago IL were he began to work for a huge crime boss under the name of johnny Tirro.
Middle Life
In 1925, Al Capone went retreated back to Brooklyn after his leader Torrio got wounded badly in a failed assassination attempt. When Al Capone had returned to Brooklyn he had built a ruthless fearsome gang that soon eliminated other gangs in the area and soon the suburb of Cicero became know as the Capone mob. On St Valentine's Day there was a Massacre by a rival gang that had killed 7 members of the bugs gang when the rival gang was dressed in police officers. The massacre was blamed on the Capone mob, but at the time Al Capone was in Florida on vacation. (The Capone mob was a gang that Al Capone ruled.) The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) had investigated Al Capone in the early twenties and thirties and on March 11 Capone was supposed to come before a grand Jury in Chicago but since he was sick in bed his jury meeting was postponed to March 20. As he left agents arrested him and was suppose to pay 1,000 dollars and prison for 1 year. Capone pay $5,000 and was let free. On May 17, 1929 Capone and his bodyguard were arrested by FBI agents for selling/smuggling illegal weapons, was sentenced to nine months in Cook County
Jail. On the summer day of June 16, 1931 Capone plead guilty to the judge for not paying taxes and prohibition charges.(Prohibition charges are when you are caught drinking, or smuggling Alcohol which was illegal out the time.) Capone had plead guilty to the charges on the date of June 16 1931. On October 1931 Capone had to serve 11 years in Federal Prison pay 50,000 dollars and charged 7,692 for being in court and to top that all off 215,000 due to taxes that were unpaid.
Late Life- Death.
While in jail Capone had started in Cook County while waiting for his appeals( Appeals are to make a request). After his appeals had been sadly dinned Capone was moved to Atlanta and the to Alcatraz. (Alcatraz is located off of San Francisco bay and is an island that is just a big jail.) On November 16 1939 Al Capone had been released after paying off all the money he owed. After Capone had been released he had never really gone back to Chicago and finally moved to Palm beach Florida to live the rest of his days. Capone finally died i n Palm beach January 25 1947 at the age of 48 years due to a stroke.
